Swiss painter by night, and development professional by day, Christian Hofer is an unconventional modern expressionist abstract artist who paints only with his hands! He has been painting for over 20 years for the love of color, light, and the madness of mixing it all to create what remains unknown till the work is done, and often a surprise to himself and his viewers.

Art has always played a major role in his life. He studied oil painting and expressionist composition, among other techniques, at the prestigious Fine Art School in Berne. He also worked alongside the famous Swiss artist Hansjuerg Brunner from 1990 to 1995 and learned the craft of traditional graphic art.

Frequent travels to exotic lands nurture his imagination and enhance his vast repertoire of abstract forms and figures, colors and shades, which offer a hint of his treks to over 150 countries. We see influences of his grassroots work in India, Estonia and Romania, academic pursuits in Jerusalem and Geneva and development work in South Africa, Peru and Laos, subtly integrated into his paintings which leaves us with a lasting impression of a truly global artist.
